  • Wherever you are in your home,
  • 00:00:00.270 --> 00:00:03.010
  • whatever you're about to do,
  • 00:00:03.010 --> 00:00:04.090
  • whatever you're facing right now,
  • 00:00:04.090 --> 00:00:05.240
  • His eye is upon the sparrow, and His eye is upon you.
  • 00:00:05.240 --> 00:00:10.140
  • Have that peace, have that comfort within.
  • 00:00:12.020 --> 00:00:15.030
  • Jesus promised that He would be with us,
  • 00:00:15.030 --> 00:00:17.060
  • that He would help us.
  • 00:00:17.060 --> 00:00:19.010
  • (uplifting music)
  • 00:00:19.010 --> 00:00:22.180
  • (color splash whooshes)
  • 00:00:22.180 --> 00:00:25.290
  • (color splash whooshes)

  • (color splash whooshes)
  • 00:00:37.090 --> 00:00:39.170
  • (color splash whooshes)
  • 00:00:39.170 --> 00:00:42.270
  • Welcome to Live with Passion.
  • 00:00:46.080 --> 00:00:47.150
  • I'm Father Cedric, the host of the program.
  • 00:00:47.150 --> 00:00:49.270
  • I am so glad you tuned in.
  • 00:00:49.270 --> 00:00:51.240
  • If you need peace, this is the place to be.
  • 00:00:51.240 --> 00:00:55.100
  • I call this Jesus' first gift at the resurrection
  • 00:00:55.100 --> 00:00:59.050
  • and His last gift at The Last Supper,
  • 00:00:59.050 --> 00:01:02.020
  • and I'm praying that you will experience
  • 00:01:02.020 --> 00:01:03.250
  • a peace that surpasses all understanding.
  • 00:01:03.250 --> 00:01:08.160
  • It was The Last Supper, and this is John chapter 14.
  • 00:01:08.160 --> 00:01:12.210
  • And Jesus said, "Peace I leave with you;
  • 00:01:12.210 --> 00:01:15.250
  • "my peace I give to you.
  • 00:01:15.250 --> 00:01:18.280
  • "I don't give it to you as the world does.
  • 00:01:18.280 --> 00:01:21.260
  • "Don't let your hearts be troubled,
  • 00:01:21.260 --> 00:01:25.030
  • "don't let them be afraid."
  • 00:01:25.030 --> 00:01:27.240
  • The Gospel of the Lord.
  • 00:01:27.240 --> 00:01:29.070
  • Praise to Lord Jesus Christ.
  • 00:01:29.070 --> 00:01:31.140
  • I love peace.
  • 00:01:32.240 --> 00:01:34.220
  • I love going to gardens, love going to national parks.
  • 00:01:34.220 --> 00:01:39.220
  • Remember I went to the Grand Canyon,
  • 00:01:40.280 --> 00:01:42.060
  • I stood at the precipice and I looked out there.
  • 00:01:42.060 --> 00:01:44.120
  • I hiked it for three hours, it was beautiful,
  • 00:01:44.120 --> 00:01:47.040
  • and I was struck by the silence,
  • 00:01:47.040 --> 00:01:49.290
  • it was the grandeur, the quiet,
  • 00:01:49.290 --> 00:01:53.210
  • and I believe that God speaks through silence and peace.
  • 00:01:53.210 --> 00:01:58.210
  • I've gone to many different gardens,
  • 00:01:59.280 --> 00:02:01.140
  • I've gone to national parks, and one of the things
  • 00:02:01.140 --> 00:02:04.110
  • that I absolutely love to do is to go to a retreat.
  • 00:02:04.110 --> 00:02:09.050
  • A retreat in the Catholic tradition
  • 00:02:09.050 --> 00:02:10.270
  • is a time that you go away
  • 00:02:10.270 --> 00:02:12.130
  • apart from the hustle and the bustle.
  • 00:02:12.130 --> 00:02:14.190
  • I've been to many retreat centers around the country.
  • 00:02:14.190 --> 00:02:17.150
  • One of the places I go is to Big Sur, California,
  • 00:02:17.150 --> 00:02:21.210
  • right on the edge of the Pacific Ocean,
  • 00:02:21.210 --> 00:02:24.010
  • and I spend a week there
  • 00:02:24.010 --> 00:02:25.210
  • in solitude and quiet, and there is peace.
  • 00:02:25.210 --> 00:02:30.110
  • But I want you to notice something.
  • 00:02:31.170 --> 00:02:33.030
  • At The Last Supper, at the worst night of Jesus' life,
  • 00:02:34.160 --> 00:02:39.070
  • at His most desperate moment, this wasn't a garden,
  • 00:02:41.110 --> 00:02:46.110
  • this wasn't the Grand Canyon, and this wasn't on a retreat.
  • 00:02:47.250 --> 00:02:51.130
  • Jesus was about to be crucified in less than 24 hours.
  • 00:02:52.220 --> 00:02:54.260
  • He was about to go through torture,
  • 00:02:56.010 --> 00:02:58.160
  • to be betrayed and denied, and He knew the whole thing
  • 00:02:58.160 --> 00:03:02.060
  • that was coming up, and in the midst of that chaos,
  • 00:03:02.060 --> 00:03:06.210
  • the midst of that craziness,
  • 00:03:06.210 --> 00:03:08.170
  • the midst of that worst situation, as I said,
  • 00:03:08.170 --> 00:03:12.170
  • the worst night of His life, right there,
  • 00:03:12.170 --> 00:03:15.270
  • Jesus said, "Peace be with you.
  • 00:03:16.260 --> 00:03:18.210
  • "My peace I give you.
  • 00:03:19.260 --> 00:03:21.080
  • "A peace that the world cannot give."
  • 00:03:22.130 --> 00:03:24.270
  • And, I might add, a peace that the world cannot take away.
  • 00:03:24.270 --> 00:03:28.140
  • This is why we call Jesus of Nazareth Master.
  • 00:03:28.140 --> 00:03:32.150
  • And we called Him a master because no matter the situation,
  • 00:03:32.150 --> 00:03:36.280
  • the people that came against Him,
  • 00:03:36.280 --> 00:03:38.210
  • the questions that were asked Him, the places that He went,
  • 00:03:38.210 --> 00:03:42.100
  • He had this supernatural peace.
  • 00:03:42.100 --> 00:03:45.230
  • Remember what He taught, He said,
  • 00:03:45.230 --> 00:03:47.000
  • "If somebody strikes you on your cheek,
  • 00:03:47.000 --> 00:03:49.280
  • "turn the other cheek to that person."
  • 00:03:49.280 --> 00:03:52.270
  • And only a master could be that way.
  • 00:03:52.270 --> 00:03:55.250
  • When He would walk, He would walk with a demeanor
  • 00:03:57.070 --> 00:03:59.240
  • of great grace, great beauty,
  • 00:03:59.240 --> 00:04:04.260
  • He attracted people by His peace.
  • 00:04:05.290 --> 00:04:07.260
  • So I want you know know that like joy,
  • 00:04:07.260 --> 00:04:10.070
  • if you watched my other program,
  • 00:04:10.070 --> 00:04:12.140
  • peace is not dependent on people around you
  • 00:04:12.140 --> 00:04:16.150
  • or being on a retreat, or going to the Grand Canyon.
  • 00:04:17.290 --> 00:04:22.110
  • You can have peace right in the midst
  • 00:04:23.170 --> 00:04:25.080
  • of your most difficult situation.
  • 00:04:25.080 --> 00:04:27.230
  • I talk to people all the time
  • 00:04:28.270 --> 00:04:30.120
  • who are going to the hospital, about to have an operation.
  • 00:04:30.120 --> 00:04:34.000
  • Maybe they have back trouble,
  • 00:04:34.000 --> 00:04:36.040
  • hip problems, knees, whatever it is,
  • 00:04:36.040 --> 00:04:39.060
  • and they have to have an operation, they're terrified.
  • 00:04:40.170 --> 00:04:43.140
  • They don't wanna go through this,
  • 00:04:43.140 --> 00:04:44.210
  • they don't wanna be put to sleep,
  • 00:04:44.210 --> 00:04:46.060
  • they don't wanna go under the knife, nobody does.
  • 00:04:46.060 --> 00:04:48.130
  • But person after person, believers,
  • 00:04:50.030 --> 00:04:52.160
  • tell me that right before they're about to go
  • 00:04:52.160 --> 00:04:56.130
  • to the operating room, they sense this peace,
  • 00:04:56.130 --> 00:05:00.270
  • this tranquility, this serenity,
  • 00:05:00.270 --> 00:05:04.140
  • that they don't know where it came from.
  • 00:05:04.140 --> 00:05:06.240
  • And you and I know where it comes from, it comes from God.
  • 00:05:06.240 --> 00:05:11.000
  • Jesus' last gift was, "Peace I leave you."
  • 00:05:11.000 --> 00:05:16.000
  • It was a gift, He said He bequeathed it to us,
  • 00:05:17.050 --> 00:05:21.000
  • it's our inheritance, it's ours to enjoy.
  • 00:05:21.000 --> 00:05:25.100
  • He died for us to have it.
  • 00:05:25.100 --> 00:05:27.260
  • In fact, if you remember,
  • 00:05:27.260 --> 00:05:29.120
  • it wasn't only His last gift, it was His first gift.
  • 00:05:29.120 --> 00:05:34.090
  • What do I mean by that?
  • 00:05:34.090 --> 00:05:35.240
  • Raised from the dead, resurrected,
  • 00:05:35.240 --> 00:05:38.200
  • comes to the apostles, they're all afraid, He didn't say,
  • 00:05:38.200 --> 00:05:42.050
  • "Why did you deny me, why did you betray me?"
  • 00:05:42.050 --> 00:05:44.210
  • First gift, He said, "Shalom."
  • 00:05:44.210 --> 00:05:48.050
  • Shalom is a Jewish greeting, has a sense of harmony,
  • 00:05:48.050 --> 00:05:53.050
  • but basically we translate it this way: peace be with you.
  • 00:05:54.180 --> 00:05:56.260
  • And so His last gift and His first gift, peace.
  • 00:05:58.010 --> 00:06:02.180
  • In the Catholic tradition, when we celebrate Mass,
  • 00:06:02.180 --> 00:06:06.290
  • right before communion, right before we receive
  • 00:06:06.290 --> 00:06:09.190
  • the body and the blood of Jesus,
  • 00:06:09.190 --> 00:06:11.180
  • what we do is we have the Sign of Peace.
  • 00:06:11.180 --> 00:06:16.020
  • We turn to our neighbor, wish them peace,
  • 00:06:16.020 --> 00:06:18.250
  • usually shake hands or hug them.
  • 00:06:18.250 --> 00:06:21.100
  • We even call it the Kiss of Peace,
  • 00:06:21.100 --> 00:06:23.140
  • and that comes right from the scriptures.
  • 00:06:23.140 --> 00:06:25.240
  • And what we're doing is, we're wishing our neighbor,
  • 00:06:25.240 --> 00:06:29.060
  • our family, our spouses, our community members, peace.
  • 00:06:29.060 --> 00:06:34.040
  • Oftentimes at this point in Mass,
  • 00:06:35.080 --> 00:06:37.210
  • there are people around us that aren't necessarily
  • 00:06:37.210 --> 00:06:41.050
  • the people that we want to be there. (laughs)
  • 00:06:41.050 --> 00:06:43.210
  • They're not our best friends.
  • 00:06:43.210 --> 00:06:46.000
  • It might even be a person that you're having trouble with.
  • 00:06:46.000 --> 00:06:49.170
  • But even then, out of the goodness of your heart,
  • 00:06:49.170 --> 00:06:53.110
  • we wish them peace.
  • 00:06:53.110 --> 00:06:54.200
  • Remember, Jesus the Prince of Peace
  • 00:06:55.240 --> 00:06:59.060
  • was faced with a storm in His life, and He stood up,
  • 00:06:59.060 --> 00:07:03.190
  • and He cast His peace right into the storm,
  • 00:07:03.190 --> 00:07:07.290
  • and that's what I want for you right now.
  • 00:07:09.030 --> 00:07:11.160
  • I know that some of you are going through a divorce.
  • 00:07:11.160 --> 00:07:14.200
  • I know some of you are having hard times in your marriage.
  • 00:07:16.030 --> 00:07:20.230
  • I know some of you are grieving, lonely.
  • 00:07:20.230 --> 00:07:24.240
  • Maybe you're facing an operation,
  • 00:07:24.240 --> 00:07:27.170
  • could be you're going through
  • 00:07:27.170 --> 00:07:28.220
  • a physical suffering of some sort.
  • 00:07:28.220 --> 00:07:30.150
  • Peace be with you in the middle of that storm.
  • 00:07:32.000 --> 00:07:35.260
  • It's interesting in a hurricane, when that wind is whipping
  • 00:07:35.260 --> 00:07:40.010
  • and the waves are being kicked up,
  • 00:07:40.010 --> 00:07:41.280
  • and the wind is blowing 70, 80, 150 miles an hour even,
  • 00:07:41.280 --> 00:07:46.240
  • or more, just beneath the surface, the waters are calm.
  • 00:07:46.240 --> 00:07:51.240
  • Even though there's chaos raging right up above,
  • 00:07:53.070 --> 00:07:56.130
  • just beneath there's peace.
  • 00:07:56.130 --> 00:07:58.280
  • So I want you to understand that Jesus
  • 00:07:58.280 --> 00:08:01.240
  • was offering us this peace at the worst moment of His life.
  • 00:08:01.240 --> 00:08:06.050
  • So, I want you to know that you can have peace
  • 00:08:07.110 --> 00:08:11.090
  • even through you're going through turmoil,
  • 00:08:11.090 --> 00:08:12.290
  • and tribulations, and trials.
  • 00:08:12.290 --> 00:08:15.210
  • In fact, the Bible tells us
  • 00:08:15.210 --> 00:08:17.090
  • that this is the great tribulation.
  • 00:08:17.090 --> 00:08:20.090
  • This comes right from the Book of Revelation,
  • 00:08:20.090 --> 00:08:22.000
  • this being our life.
  • 00:08:22.000 --> 00:08:23.140
  • The Bible calls our life on Earth the great tribulation,
  • 00:08:24.280 --> 00:08:27.020
  • and as Jesus taught, He said,
  • 00:08:27.020 --> 00:08:28.120
  • "In the world, you will have tribulation."
  • 00:08:28.120 --> 00:08:31.120
  • So don't think, "Well, wait a minute,
  • 00:08:31.120 --> 00:08:33.030
  • "why am I going through this?
  • 00:08:33.030 --> 00:08:34.190
  • "I shouldn't be going through this because I'm a believer."
  • 00:08:34.190 --> 00:08:38.010
  • No, no, there's nothing wrong with you. (laughs)
  • 00:08:38.010 --> 00:08:40.120
  • Everybody has stuff, everybody goes through
  • 00:08:40.120 --> 00:08:43.170
  • different things, but Jesus said,
  • 00:08:43.170 --> 00:08:45.270
  • "In the world you will have tribulation,"
  • 00:08:45.270 --> 00:08:47.120
  • but He said, "Cheer up, I've overcome the world."
  • 00:08:47.120 --> 00:08:49.210
  • And because He has overcome the world,
  • 00:08:49.210 --> 00:08:52.220
  • we can have this peace that surpasses our intellect,
  • 00:08:52.220 --> 00:08:57.220
  • our understanding, our knowledge.
  • 00:08:58.260 --> 00:09:02.000
  • Peace is so wonderful, I crave peace.
  • 00:09:02.000 --> 00:09:04.260
  • That's why I go on retreats.
  • 00:09:04.260 --> 00:09:06.240
  • But as I said, you don't have to go on a retreat
  • 00:09:06.240 --> 00:09:09.030
  • to have peace, you can have it
  • 00:09:09.030 --> 00:09:10.150
  • right in the most difficult moment of your life.
  • 00:09:10.150 --> 00:09:12.210
  • Like this man, I love to tell this story about this man.
  • 00:09:12.210 --> 00:09:16.070
  • He's wealthy, loves peace,
  • 00:09:16.070 --> 00:09:19.020
  • but he was never able to find a portrait of peace.
  • 00:09:19.020 --> 00:09:22.250
  • He wanted to hang it on his mantle.
  • 00:09:22.250 --> 00:09:25.080
  • So what he did is he said, "I'm gonna have a contest.
  • 00:09:25.080 --> 00:09:28.190
  • "See if somebody can draw me
  • 00:09:28.190 --> 00:09:30.030
  • "a portrait of peace that I'm looking for here."
  • 00:09:30.030 --> 00:09:33.000
  • So what he did is he offered $50.000
  • 00:09:33.000 --> 00:09:37.120
  • to the artist that could depict
  • 00:09:37.120 --> 00:09:41.170
  • the greatest portrait of peace.
  • 00:09:41.170 --> 00:09:44.150
  • So, 25 artists got to work, they started getting to work,
  • 00:09:44.150 --> 00:09:49.020
  • and painting away, and they wanted to win the 50 grand,
  • 00:09:49.020 --> 00:09:52.070
  • you know, the whole thing, and they submitted,
  • 00:09:52.070 --> 00:09:54.210
  • all 25 of them, submitted their portraits to the man,
  • 00:09:54.210 --> 00:09:57.120
  • he was the judge, he was gonna decide
  • 00:09:57.120 --> 00:09:59.180
  • who was gonna win the $50.000.
  • 00:09:59.180 --> 00:10:02.140
  • And he narrowed it down to two, two portraits of peace.
  • 00:10:03.280 --> 00:10:07.150
  • Number one, it was a mountain scene.
  • 00:10:07.150 --> 00:10:10.070
  • A beautiful scene, a placid pond, a few puffy clouds,
  • 00:10:11.200 --> 00:10:15.070
  • an eagle flying above, some flowers growing, wildflowers.
  • 00:10:15.070 --> 00:10:20.070
  • It looked like the perfect picture of peace,
  • 00:10:21.170 --> 00:10:24.000
  • this beautiful mountain scene.
  • 00:10:24.000 --> 00:10:25.150
  • The other scene wasn't so peaceful looking.
  • 00:10:26.200 --> 00:10:29.260
  • It was another mountain scene,
  • 00:10:29.260 --> 00:10:32.000
  • but it didn't look so peaceful.
  • 00:10:32.000 --> 00:10:34.020
  • The mountain had a jagged, rugged peak.
  • 00:10:34.020 --> 00:10:38.210
  • Over the peak was this dark, angry, storm cloud.
  • 00:10:38.210 --> 00:10:43.000
  • Out of the storm cloud, flashes of lightning.
  • 00:10:43.000 --> 00:10:46.160
  • Because of the lightning and the storm,
  • 00:10:46.160 --> 00:10:49.210
  • the rain was falling upon the top of the mountain.
  • 00:10:49.210 --> 00:10:52.050
  • Because of all the rain, water was rushing and gushing over.
  • 00:10:52.050 --> 00:10:56.160
  • And right underneath the waterfall,
  • 00:10:56.160 --> 00:10:58.070
  • if you look really closely, there was a bush,
  • 00:10:58.070 --> 00:11:00.270
  • and on the bush there was a nest,
  • 00:11:00.270 --> 00:11:03.000
  • and in the nest there were two birds
  • 00:11:03.000 --> 00:11:04.240
  • asleep in the midst of all that chaos.
  • 00:11:04.240 --> 00:11:08.140
  • Well, the man looked at the two portraits,
  • 00:11:08.140 --> 00:11:10.260
  • and he said, "This is the one that wins."
  • 00:11:10.260 --> 00:11:13.140
  • Because peace isn't the absence of storms;
  • 00:11:13.140 --> 00:11:17.080
  • rather, peace is tranquility
  • 00:11:17.080 --> 00:11:21.150
  • right in the middle of the storm,
  • 00:11:21.150 --> 00:11:23.170
  • just like the two little birds that were at peace
  • 00:11:23.170 --> 00:11:26.040
  • in the nest in the midst of all that chaos.
  • 00:11:26.040 --> 00:11:29.030
  • So I want you to get that.
  • 00:11:29.030 --> 00:11:30.190
  • Peace isn't the absence of trials, and tribulations,
  • 00:11:30.190 --> 00:11:34.170
  • and divorces, and physical sufferings, and depression,
  • 00:11:34.170 --> 00:11:39.170
  • and all this different stuff.
  • 00:11:40.150 --> 00:11:42.060
  • Rather, it's this tranquility,
  • 00:11:42.060 --> 00:11:46.030
  • this serenity,
  • 00:11:47.200 --> 00:11:48.230
  • this equanimity, deep within,
  • 00:11:50.150 --> 00:11:54.010
  • that the world cannot give and the world cannot take away.
  • 00:11:55.140 --> 00:11:58.060
  • (logo whooshes)
  • 00:11:58.060 --> 00:12:00.260
  • (serene music) (logo whooshes)
  • 00:12:00.260 --> 00:12:04.280
  • A woman came up to me one time and she said,
  • 00:12:04.280 --> 00:12:06.110
  • "Father Cedric, God doesn't hear my prayer."
  • 00:12:06.110 --> 00:12:09.220
  • I go, "What are you talking about? (laughs)
  • 00:12:09.220 --> 00:12:11.110
  • "God hears prayers."
  • 00:12:11.110 --> 00:12:12.170
  • She goes, "Well, my husband is an alcoholic
  • 00:12:12.170 --> 00:12:16.000
  • "and I have been praying for years for him
  • 00:12:16.000 --> 00:12:19.040
  • "to give up alcohol, to give up this addiction.
  • 00:12:19.040 --> 00:12:22.070
  • "Nothing is happening, God doesn't hear my prayer."
  • 00:12:22.070 --> 00:12:26.040
  • Well, I have ministered in the 12-Step program
  • 00:12:27.210 --> 00:12:31.050
  • for 25 plus years.
  • 00:12:31.050 --> 00:12:34.160
  • People come to our retreat center in Houston
  • 00:12:34.160 --> 00:12:36.170
  • all the time that are 12-Steppers.
  • 00:12:36.170 --> 00:12:38.180
  • Every day, we have 12-Step meetings.
  • 00:12:38.180 --> 00:12:41.050
  • And I tried to help her understand
  • 00:12:42.080 --> 00:12:44.180
  • about the wisdom of the 12-Step Program.
  • 00:12:44.180 --> 00:12:47.240
  • And the wisdom of the 12-Step Program is this:
  • 00:12:47.240 --> 00:12:51.020
  • that you can't necessarily change
  • 00:12:51.020 --> 00:12:53.080
  • another person or a circumstance in your life.
  • 00:12:53.080 --> 00:12:56.260
  • We all have chaotic people and circumstances.
  • 00:12:56.260 --> 00:13:00.090
  • But what you can do is work on yourself
  • 00:13:00.090 --> 00:13:04.050
  • so that you can cope with the people and the circumstances.
  • 00:13:04.050 --> 00:13:08.060
  • You see, if you're allowing somebody's drinking
  • 00:13:08.060 --> 00:13:12.070
  • or strange behavior to upset you
  • 00:13:12.070 --> 00:13:16.160
  • and make you live in continual disarray,
  • 00:13:16.160 --> 00:13:19.290
  • that's called codependency.
  • 00:13:19.290 --> 00:13:22.000
  • You're dependent on that person to give you peace,
  • 00:13:22.000 --> 00:13:25.100
  • and that's just never gonna happen.
  • 00:13:25.100 --> 00:13:27.140
  • So, the 12-Step Program teaches something totally different.
  • 00:13:27.140 --> 00:13:31.030
  • It teaches you can't depend on your circumstances
  • 00:13:31.030 --> 00:13:33.170
  • and the people of your life to give you peace;
  • 00:13:33.170 --> 00:13:35.050
  • rather, you have to work on yourself.
  • 00:13:35.050 --> 00:13:38.140
  • "But my husband's the alcoholic."
  • 00:13:38.140 --> 00:13:40.270
  • Right, I understand that.
  • 00:13:40.270 --> 00:13:43.030
  • It's not your fault, but if you wanna be able
  • 00:13:43.030 --> 00:13:45.230
  • to live with him and cope with him,
  • 00:13:45.230 --> 00:13:48.040
  • you gotta work with yourself.
  • 00:13:48.040 --> 00:13:49.190
  • You've probably heard the prayer by Reinhold Niebuhr.
  • 00:13:49.190 --> 00:13:52.290
  • It's very popular, everybody prays it.
  • 00:13:52.290 --> 00:13:55.210
  • "God, grant me the serenity,"
  • 00:13:55.210 --> 00:13:57.150
  • that's what we're talking about here, serenity.
  • 00:13:57.150 --> 00:14:00.020
  • "God, grant me the serenity to accept
  • 00:14:00.020 --> 00:14:02.160
  • "the things that I cannot change,
  • 00:14:02.160 --> 00:14:04.150
  • "the courage to change things that I can,
  • 00:14:04.150 --> 00:14:06.250
  • "and the wisdom to know the difference."
  • 00:14:07.290 --> 00:14:09.220
  • Wow, love that.
  • 00:14:09.220 --> 00:14:11.280
  • And I'm praying if you're in a situation
  • 00:14:11.280 --> 00:14:13.200
  • with an addicted child or husband, or maybe it's you,
  • 00:14:13.200 --> 00:14:18.070
  • I pray that God will grant you
  • 00:14:18.070 --> 00:14:19.200
  • serenity, courage, and wisdom.
  • 00:14:19.200 --> 00:14:24.060
  • Great book about codependency that I want you to read.
  • 00:14:24.060 --> 00:14:27.160
  • It's written by a woman named Karen Casey.
  • 00:14:27.160 --> 00:14:30.290
  • "Codependence and the Power of Detachment."
  • 00:14:32.050 --> 00:14:36.180
  • You see, she talks about detaching,
  • 00:14:36.180 --> 00:14:39.140
  • not leaving your husband, not leaving the situation,
  • 00:14:39.140 --> 00:14:43.110
  • but living emotionally detached
  • 00:14:43.110 --> 00:14:46.020
  • from that which is turbulizing your life
  • 00:14:46.020 --> 00:14:49.090
  • or causing all your trials and turbulences.
  • 00:14:49.090 --> 00:14:52.150
  • So that like Jesus, you can stand
  • 00:14:52.150 --> 00:14:54.220
  • in the midst of a person who slaps you on the cheek
  • 00:14:54.220 --> 00:14:57.120
  • and offer the other cheek.
  • 00:14:57.120 --> 00:14:58.220
  • You don't have to react to traffic
  • 00:14:59.270 --> 00:15:01.260
  • when it's slow or somebody cuts you off.
  • 00:15:01.260 --> 00:15:04.160
  • You don't have to be all bent out of shape
  • 00:15:04.160 --> 00:15:06.160
  • every moment of your life
  • 00:15:06.160 --> 00:15:07.200
  • because it's not going your way
  • 00:15:07.200 --> 00:15:08.280
  • and you feel like you're out of control.
  • 00:15:08.280 --> 00:15:10.250
  • So that's called detaching emotionally
  • 00:15:10.250 --> 00:15:12.240
  • from situations and from people.
  • 00:15:12.240 --> 00:15:14.240
  • You still live with them, you still love them
  • 00:15:14.240 --> 00:15:16.190
  • the best you can, but you realize that their insanity
  • 00:15:16.190 --> 00:15:19.200
  • doesn't have to drive you insane.
  • 00:15:19.200 --> 00:15:22.090
  • So, the 12-Step Program tries to help
  • 00:15:22.090 --> 00:15:25.070
  • a person have sanity, serenity, peace.
  • 00:15:25.070 --> 00:15:30.070
  • Did you notice what I'm saying?
  • 00:15:33.120 --> 00:15:35.130
  • It's not removed, it's right in the middle of real life.
  • 00:15:35.130 --> 00:15:40.130
  • See, this is Christianity, I believe, at its best.
  • 00:15:41.260 --> 00:15:43.200
  • Jesus didn't promise us a trial-free life,
  • 00:15:43.200 --> 00:15:48.030
  • He promised that He would be with us
  • 00:15:48.030 --> 00:15:50.070
  • in the midst of the difficulties,
  • 00:15:50.070 --> 00:15:51.270
  • in the midst of the hardships.
  • 00:15:51.270 --> 00:15:53.190
  • So I talk to people all the time, I know you have trouble,
  • 00:15:53.190 --> 00:15:56.060
  • I know you have tribulation,
  • 00:15:56.060 --> 00:15:57.170
  • I know there's stuff going on in your life
  • 00:15:57.170 --> 00:15:59.100
  • and I wish I could take it away from you,
  • 00:15:59.100 --> 00:16:00.290
  • but what happens is, right in the middle of it all,
  • 00:16:00.290 --> 00:16:03.180
  • you end up growing, you deepen your relationship with God,
  • 00:16:03.180 --> 00:16:07.050
  • and the peace that surpasses all understanding
  • 00:16:07.050 --> 00:16:09.160
  • actually comes to you.
  • 00:16:09.160 --> 00:16:10.280
  • I know that I have a tendency to get anxious,
  • 00:16:10.280 --> 00:16:14.120
  • and worried, and bent out of shape.
  • 00:16:14.120 --> 00:16:17.110
  • It's very easy.
  • 00:16:17.110 --> 00:16:18.250
  • I'm in traffic and somebody cuts me off and (laughs)
  • 00:16:18.250 --> 00:16:21.100
  • I wanna react just like everybody else.
  • 00:16:21.100 --> 00:16:23.240
  • I get that a lot in the confessional.
  • 00:16:23.240 --> 00:16:25.080
  • People will talk about their driving habits,
  • 00:16:25.080 --> 00:16:27.220
  • how they feel about different people.
  • 00:16:27.220 --> 00:16:29.270
  • Noise bothers me, I get agitated by noise,
  • 00:16:29.270 --> 00:16:32.220
  • and when I feel out of control, I get stressed out.
  • 00:16:32.220 --> 00:16:36.260
  • Well, I have sayings that really help me,
  • 00:16:36.260 --> 00:16:39.270
  • that help give me peace in the midst of it all.
  • 00:16:39.270 --> 00:16:42.110
  • "This too shall pass" is one of my favorites.
  • 00:16:42.110 --> 00:16:46.080
  • Cedric, it's water off a ducks' back, doesn't matter,
  • 00:16:46.080 --> 00:16:51.030
  • and be like Teflon, you know what Teflon is?
  • 00:16:52.070 --> 00:16:54.200
  • It's a non-stick surface, and you can be like Teflon.
  • 00:16:54.200 --> 00:16:59.200
  • You can have peace right in the middle of it all.
  • 00:17:00.280 --> 00:17:03.030
  • So, let's talk about agitation here
  • 00:17:03.030 --> 00:17:04.250
  • because I realize that a lot of you get agitated
  • 00:17:04.250 --> 00:17:06.280
  • just like me very easily, traffic,
  • 00:17:06.280 --> 00:17:08.260
  • and noise, and people. (laughs)
  • 00:17:08.260 --> 00:17:12.110
  • Especially difficult people, they can agitate you.
  • 00:17:12.110 --> 00:17:15.270
  • And one of the agitations I have in my life is traveling.
  • 00:17:15.270 --> 00:17:19.150
  • Because I'm a Parrish missionary,
  • 00:17:19.150 --> 00:17:21.280
  • preach on television as you know, I'm a media missionary,
  • 00:17:21.280 --> 00:17:25.090
  • so I travel to different places like Tulsa,
  • 00:17:25.090 --> 00:17:28.070
  • and Canada, and New Orleans to do the filming,
  • 00:17:28.070 --> 00:17:31.270
  • and I travel all around the United States
  • 00:17:31.270 --> 00:17:34.000
  • to preach Parrish missions.
  • 00:17:34.000 --> 00:17:36.180
  • I remember one time I was gonna give a mission in Boston,
  • 00:17:36.180 --> 00:17:38.250
  • my home state, I live in Houston,
  • 00:17:38.250 --> 00:17:42.000
  • and so I'm about to fly there and I'm pretty tall,
  • 00:17:42.000 --> 00:17:45.140
  • I'm 6'2", and I'm about to get sardined into an airplane.
  • 00:17:45.140 --> 00:17:50.140
  • Traveling is very romanticized nowadays.
  • 00:17:51.180 --> 00:17:54.000
  • And right before I was about to fly,
  • 00:17:54.000 --> 00:17:56.130
  • I was looking out the window, the plane was right there,
  • 00:17:56.130 --> 00:17:59.120
  • just looking out the window, kinda getting anxious
  • 00:17:59.120 --> 00:18:01.200
  • because I knew I had to fly, and then I had to get there,
  • 00:18:01.200 --> 00:18:04.290
  • and the traffic in Boston was gonna be bad,
  • 00:18:04.290 --> 00:18:07.110
  • and I had to drive to Worcester,
  • 00:18:07.110 --> 00:18:08.290
  • which is 40 miles west of Boston,
  • 00:18:08.290 --> 00:18:10.260
  • and get acclimated and meet new people
  • 00:18:10.260 --> 00:18:14.020
  • and preach in front of all these different people.
  • 00:18:14.020 --> 00:18:15.260
  • So I'm feeling really anxious.
  • 00:18:15.260 --> 00:18:17.260
  • And as I'm looking out the window,
  • 00:18:17.260 --> 00:18:19.100
  • I see a little bird on the windowsill, a little sparrow.
  • 00:18:19.100 --> 00:18:23.050
  • And all of a sudden I thought about that verse,
  • 00:18:23.050 --> 00:18:26.130
  • "His eye is upon the sparrow, and His eye is upon you."
  • 00:18:26.130 --> 00:18:29.260
  • And I sensed that I was being watched,
  • 00:18:31.010 --> 00:18:32.230
  • and I looked around and people
  • 00:18:32.230 --> 00:18:34.030
  • are playing on their cellphones,
  • 00:18:34.030 --> 00:18:35.190
  • and they're talking to each other, and different things.
  • 00:18:35.190 --> 00:18:38.020
  • Nobody was looking at me.
  • 00:18:38.020 --> 00:18:39.090
  • God was looking at me.
  • 00:18:41.030 --> 00:18:42.090
  • I had a sense that God was watching.
  • 00:18:43.220 --> 00:18:45.050
  • He knew what I was about to do,
  • 00:18:45.050 --> 00:18:46.290
  • He knew I was gonna go and preach.
  • 00:18:46.290 --> 00:18:49.120
  • His eye was upon me.
  • 00:18:49.120 --> 00:18:51.070
  • And I looked at the little sparrow and I said,
  • 00:18:51.070 --> 00:18:53.230
  • "God's watching that sparrow, but He's watching me, too."
  • 00:18:53.230 --> 00:18:55.250
  • So, gave me great comfort, gave me some peace,
  • 00:18:55.250 --> 00:18:59.280
  • got on the plane, we had a safe flight to Boston,
  • 00:18:59.280 --> 00:19:02.140
  • got the car, dealt with all the traffic,
  • 00:19:02.140 --> 00:19:05.000
  • made my way to Worcester, met the pastor,
  • 00:19:05.000 --> 00:19:07.150
  • went upstairs, opened up my suitcase on the bed,
  • 00:19:07.150 --> 00:19:10.270
  • started putting my clothes in the bureau.
  • 00:19:10.270 --> 00:19:12.150
  • Right above the bureau there was a lithograph,
  • 00:19:12.150 --> 00:19:15.290
  • I couldn't believe it.
  • 00:19:15.290 --> 00:19:17.120
  • I look, it's a lithograph of a little sparrow,
  • 00:19:17.120 --> 00:19:20.020
  • and underneath it are the words,
  • 00:19:20.020 --> 00:19:21.160
  • "His eye is upon the sparrow, and His eye is upon you."
  • 00:19:21.160 --> 00:19:25.020
  • Ah, that gave me such peace, and you know,
  • 00:19:25.020 --> 00:19:28.060
  • whenever I travel, whenever I do anything,
  • 00:19:28.060 --> 00:19:31.140
  • whenever I go anywhere, I always think about that situation,
  • 00:19:31.140 --> 00:19:35.180
  • and I remember that, you know what,
  • 00:19:35.180 --> 00:19:37.000
  • I'm not going alone, God is watching over me,
  • 00:19:37.000 --> 00:19:40.200
  • God is providentially with me.
  • 00:19:40.200 --> 00:19:42.220
  • And that's what I want you to get right now.
  • 00:19:42.220 --> 00:19:44.110
  • Wherever you are in your home, whatever you're about to do,
  • 00:19:44.110 --> 00:19:47.210
  • whatever you're facing right now,
  • 00:19:47.210 --> 00:19:49.070
  • "His eye is upon the sparrow, and His eye is upon you."
  • 00:19:49.070 --> 00:19:54.050
  • Have that peace, have that comfort within.
  • 00:19:55.210 --> 00:19:58.230
  • Jesus promised that He would be with us,
  • 00:19:58.230 --> 00:20:00.260
  • that He would help us,
  • 00:20:00.260 --> 00:20:02.100
  • and I love that because He is with us.
  • 00:20:02.100 --> 00:20:04.290
  • Remember when Jesus died, He said,
  • 00:20:04.290 --> 00:20:07.010
  • "Consider the lilies of the field, look at the flowers.
  • 00:20:07.010 --> 00:20:11.250
  • "Not even Solomon and all of his regalia
  • 00:20:11.250 --> 00:20:14.090
  • "was arrayed like a little flower." (laughs)
  • 00:20:14.090 --> 00:20:17.030
  • Then He said, "Look at the birds of the air:
  • 00:20:17.030 --> 00:20:19.100
  • "they neither sow nor reap,
  • 00:20:19.100 --> 00:20:23.000
  • "but your heavenly Father feeds them.
  • 00:20:23.000 --> 00:20:25.110
  • "They don't gather into barns,
  • 00:20:25.110 --> 00:20:26.270
  • "here your Father takes care of them."
  • 00:20:26.270 --> 00:20:28.290
  • And if God will take care of the flowers and the birds,
  • 00:20:28.290 --> 00:20:32.130
  • how much more will He take care of you?
  • 00:20:32.130 --> 00:20:35.030
  • That gives me such peace that ultimately,
  • 00:20:35.030 --> 00:20:38.280
  • whether I realize it or not, sometimes I don't,
  • 00:20:38.280 --> 00:20:42.010
  • God is in control, God is in charge of our life.
  • 00:20:42.010 --> 00:20:46.250
  • I saw a bumper sticker one time,
  • 00:20:46.250 --> 00:20:48.040
  • must have been a 12-Stepper.
  • 00:20:48.040 --> 00:20:50.090
  • It said, "Easy does it."
  • 00:20:50.090 --> 00:20:53.070
  • Then another one, "One day at a time."
  • 00:20:53.070 --> 00:20:56.230
  • And that's a great way to live.
  • 00:20:56.230 --> 00:20:58.280
  • Don't always be in such a hurry and all flustered,
  • 00:20:58.280 --> 00:21:02.010
  • and agitated, and bent out of shape.
  • 00:21:02.010 --> 00:21:04.200
  • Easy does it.
  • 00:21:04.200 --> 00:21:05.210
  • One day at at time.
  • 00:21:06.190 --> 00:21:07.250
  • I used to be a youth minister,
  • 00:21:10.030 --> 00:21:11.080
  • and I was giving a youth retreat one time,
  • 00:21:11.080 --> 00:21:12.270
  • and on the youth retreat was an older man
  • 00:21:12.270 --> 00:21:15.000
  • with a guitar who liked to play music.
  • 00:21:15.000 --> 00:21:17.190
  • And he had such a gift, he played a song one time
  • 00:21:17.190 --> 00:21:20.120
  • called "One Day at a Time".
  • 00:21:20.120 --> 00:21:23.040
  • Just a very slow, acoustic piece.
  • 00:21:23.040 --> 00:21:26.150
  • That was 40 years ago (laughs) and I never forgot that song.
  • 00:21:28.000 --> 00:21:32.290
  • Jesus spoke to me in that music, came to me in that song,
  • 00:21:32.290 --> 00:21:37.290
  • and I pray that you will get that notion also.
  • 00:21:39.060 --> 00:21:42.190
  • One day at a time.
  • 00:21:42.190 --> 00:21:44.190
  • Don't be anxious about tomorrow.
  • 00:21:44.190 --> 00:21:46.290
  • Don't be all bent out of shape.
  • 00:21:46.290 --> 00:21:49.150
  • His eye is upon the sparrow, and His eye is upon you.
  • 00:21:49.150 --> 00:21:52.150
  • If He clothes the grass, takes care of the birds,
  • 00:21:52.150 --> 00:21:56.030
  • He's gonna take care of you, too.
  • 00:21:56.030 --> 00:21:57.240
  • I love what the Bible says about peace,
  • 00:21:57.240 --> 00:22:00.180
  • calls it the shoes of peace.
  • 00:22:00.180 --> 00:22:03.120
  • Put on your shoes of peace.
  • 00:22:03.120 --> 00:22:04.150
  • You know what shoes do?
  • 00:22:04.150 --> 00:22:05.240
  • They're walking shoes.
  • 00:22:05.240 --> 00:22:07.100
  • So in other words, in your journey, as you're walking,
  • 00:22:07.100 --> 00:22:10.260
  • in your journey, your pilgrimage, I call, it of life,
  • 00:22:10.260 --> 00:22:13.220
  • we need peace to guide us to our destination.
  • 00:22:13.220 --> 00:22:16.160
  • What is our destination?
  • 00:22:16.160 --> 00:22:17.140
  • Of course, heaven, going home.
  • 00:22:17.140 --> 00:22:20.020
  • And we need shoes.
  • 00:22:20.020 --> 00:22:21.080
  • And it reminds me about the wonderful show,
  • 00:22:21.080 --> 00:22:23.240
  • "The Wizard of Oz".
  • 00:22:23.240 --> 00:22:25.140
  • You remember the story.
  • 00:22:25.140 --> 00:22:26.290
  • Dorthy has this dream, and in this dream she gets lost,
  • 00:22:26.290 --> 00:22:30.100
  • and it's all about the journey home.
  • 00:22:30.100 --> 00:22:32.200
  • She wants to go home.
  • 00:22:32.200 --> 00:22:34.080
  • And so the Wicked Witch of the East has these shoes,
  • 00:22:34.080 --> 00:22:37.290
  • and a house falls on her, these red sequin shoes,
  • 00:22:37.290 --> 00:22:42.040
  • and the Good Witch takes the shoes off,
  • 00:22:42.040 --> 00:22:45.000
  • puts them on Dorothy, and says, "Don't give up these shoes.
  • 00:22:45.000 --> 00:22:48.190
  • "These shoes will take you home."
  • 00:22:48.190 --> 00:22:51.010
  • And so Dorothy wears the shoes,
  • 00:22:51.010 --> 00:22:52.210
  • they're beautiful red sequin shoes,
  • 00:22:52.210 --> 00:22:54.150
  • and she journeys the Yellow Brick Road.
  • 00:22:54.150 --> 00:22:57.160
  • But the Wicked Witch of the West,
  • 00:22:57.160 --> 00:22:58.280
  • and isn't there always evil in our life,
  • 00:22:58.280 --> 00:23:01.180
  • the Wicked Witch of the West wants those shoes.
  • 00:23:01.180 --> 00:23:04.070
  • And I have to tell ya, the devil, the wicked one,
  • 00:23:04.070 --> 00:23:07.120
  • the evil one, wants your peace.
  • 00:23:07.120 --> 00:23:09.180
  • If he can't steal your soul, which he wants to do,
  • 00:23:09.180 --> 00:23:13.080
  • he wants you miserable.
  • 00:23:13.080 --> 00:23:14.160
  • That's his second strategy. (laughs)
  • 00:23:14.160 --> 00:23:16.180
  • So if he can't steal your soul,
  • 00:23:16.180 --> 00:23:17.280
  • he wants you to be all agitated, and flustered,
  • 00:23:17.280 --> 00:23:20.030
  • and bent out of shape.
  • 00:23:20.030 --> 00:23:21.020
  • He wants your shoes of peace.
  • 00:23:21.020 --> 00:23:22.180
  • So remember what happens.
  • 00:23:22.180 --> 00:23:23.260
  • The Wicked Witch of the West goes for the shoes.
  • 00:23:23.260 --> 00:23:25.100
  • (imitates zapping) She couldn't get them.
  • 00:23:25.100 --> 00:23:27.290
  • The only way she could get those shoes
  • 00:23:27.290 --> 00:23:29.060
  • is if Dorothy took them off.
  • 00:23:29.060 --> 00:23:32.210
  • The only way he can get your peace
  • 00:23:32.210 --> 00:23:35.170
  • is if you give your peace to the devil.
  • 00:23:35.170 --> 00:23:38.200
  • So, long story short, you remember what takes Dorothy home?
  • 00:23:38.200 --> 00:23:43.060
  • She taps three times, she said,
  • 00:23:43.060 --> 00:23:44.200
  • "I wanna go home, I wanna go home."
  • 00:23:44.200 --> 00:23:46.050
  • It was the shoes of peace that took her home,
  • 00:23:46.050 --> 00:23:48.270
  • same way your shoes of peace,
  • 00:23:48.270 --> 00:23:51.100
  • your shoes that God has given you, will take you home.
  • 00:23:51.100 --> 00:23:56.070
  • And peace is valuable.
  • 00:23:56.070 --> 00:23:57.260
  • You know how much the ruby slippers,
  • 00:23:57.260 --> 00:24:00.030
  • I've seen them in the Smithsonian.
  • 00:24:00.030 --> 00:24:03.000
  • They paid $300.000 not for the slippers,
  • 00:24:03.000 --> 00:24:07.050
  • to repair the slippers, so they're invaluable.
  • 00:24:07.050 --> 00:24:10.070
  • Your peace is invaluable.
  • 00:24:10.070 --> 00:24:13.170
  • Just because somebody cuts you off on the street,
  • 00:24:13.170 --> 00:24:15.200
  • don't give it away.
  • 00:24:15.200 --> 00:24:17.070
  • Just because you're living with a person
  • 00:24:17.070 --> 00:24:18.270
  • that's agitating you, don't give it away.
  • 00:24:18.270 --> 00:24:21.220
  • Remember what Jesus said.
  • 00:24:21.220 --> 00:24:23.090
  • If somebody strikes you, turn the other cheek.
  • 00:24:23.090 --> 00:24:25.150
  • Learn from the master, don't live a flustered life,
  • 00:24:25.150 --> 00:24:29.100
  • live with peace.
  • 00:24:29.100 --> 00:24:31.060
  • Peace is power, peace is strength,
  • 00:24:31.060 --> 00:24:34.220
  • peace helps you to enjoy your life
  • 00:24:35.270 --> 00:24:38.140
  • and helps you to live with passion.
  • 00:24:38.140 --> 00:24:40.060
  • His first gift at the resurrection, "Peace be with you."
  • 00:24:42.180 --> 00:24:47.060
  • Jesus' last gift at The Last Supper,
  • 00:24:47.060 --> 00:24:50.030
  • "My peace I give you."
  • 00:24:50.030 --> 00:24:51.160
  • May you experience the peace
  • 00:24:52.140 --> 00:24:56.010
  • that surpasses all understanding,
  • 00:24:56.010 --> 00:24:57.270
  • and it will help you to live free from codependence,
  • 00:24:59.190 --> 00:25:04.000
  • a life of serenity, a life of tranquility.
  • 00:25:05.140 --> 00:25:08.260
  • And don't just live, live with passion.
  • 00:25:10.010 --> 00:25:12.260
  • (gentle music)
  • 00:25:12.260 --> 00:25:15.130
  • I hope you liked the preaching about peace
  • 00:25:17.180 --> 00:25:19.130
  • and I pray that the peace that surpasses all understanding
  • 00:25:19.130 --> 00:25:22.160
  • will keep your mind and heart in Jesus.
  • 00:25:22.160 --> 00:25:25.130
  • I got a letter from a woman and she said this, get this,
  • 00:25:25.130 --> 00:25:28.170
  • "I've been saved by your ministry" and I love that.
  • 00:25:28.170 --> 00:25:31.210
  • She said, "Thank you for preaching,
  • 00:25:31.210 --> 00:25:33.210
  • "thank you for reaching out on TV.
  • 00:25:33.210 --> 00:25:35.210
  • "I wanna donate to help you."
  • 00:25:35.210 --> 00:25:37.290
  • Thank you, thank you, thank you
  • 00:25:37.290 --> 00:25:39.150
  • to all of my partners and those that are helping me.
  • 00:25:39.150 --> 00:25:41.140
  • Here's my goal: touching lives, saving souls.
  • 00:25:41.140 --> 00:25:46.010
  • That's what I'm all about.
  • 00:25:46.010 --> 00:25:47.130
  • I want people that aren't going to church
  • 00:25:47.130 --> 00:25:49.190
  • to come back to Christ.
  • 00:25:49.190 --> 00:25:51.110
  • I want young people to come to know Him.
  • 00:25:51.110 --> 00:25:53.240
  • I want to reach out into prisons
  • 00:25:53.240 --> 00:25:55.090
  • and that's exactly what I'm doing.
  • 00:25:55.090 --> 00:25:56.280
  • And I want to inspire believers.
  • 00:25:56.280 --> 00:25:58.230
  • May I ask you to become a partner with my ministry?
  • 00:26:00.090 --> 00:26:02.140
  • 100% of your money will go directly
  • 00:26:02.140 --> 00:26:04.140
  • to the preaching of the gospel.
  • 00:26:04.140 --> 00:26:06.120
  • I'm about giving people peace and joy,
  • 00:26:06.120 --> 00:26:08.100
  • but most of all, a personal relationship with Jesus.
  • 00:26:08.100 --> 00:26:11.070
  • I thank you in advance for your generosity.
  • 00:26:11.070 --> 00:26:13.190
  • Please stay tuned and listen to my announcer.
  • 00:26:13.190 --> 00:26:15.270
  • - [Announcer] Don't just live, live passionately.
  • 00:26:17.030 --> 00:26:19.170
  • Jesus came to bring us abundant life,
  • 00:26:19.170 --> 00:26:21.290
  • a life filled with joy, hope, and purpose.
  • 00:26:21.290 --> 00:26:24.210
  • For over a decade, Father Cedric Pisegna
  • 00:26:24.210 --> 00:26:27.000
  • has been sharing the life-changing message of hope
