ORLANDO, FLA. (January 27, 2017) — Holy Land Experience, the award-winning Orlando, Florida faith-and-family vacation destination, had another banner “Free Day” January 25th, as a total of 3,741 recorded guests enjoyed the 16-acre park's many unique and engaging interactive exhibits and theatrical productions designed to bring the land of the Bible to life.
“Every year we set aside a special day to give our guests complimentary access to all the wonder and excitement of Holy Land Experience,” said park manager Mike Everett. “This year's attendance of over 3,700 guests was a huge blessing for our entire staff as we witnessed thousands of individuals and families having a great time and being impacted by the sights and sounds of this unique theme park experience.”
Mr. Everett noted that throughout the entire day large crowds of appreciative guests waited patiently to experience the park's realistic re-creations of biblical sites like the Wilderness Tabernacle, the Great Temple, the Upper Room, Golgotha, and Jesus' Garden Tomb, and to view the priceless manuscripts, biblical antiquities, and artifacts on display at the park's world-renowned Scriptorium.
Additionally, the 2,000-seat Church of All Nations auditorium was packed for every performance of the park's updated theatrical productions, including:
The Prodigal Son, an all-new Holy Land Experience drama that recounts with creative passion the story of a lost and broken son whose devoted father welcomes home with loving arms of forgiveness.
Forgiven, which tells the riveting accounts of God's redemption in the lives of three unforgettable Bible characters.
The Promise, an all-new version of the award winning drama The Passion, which recounts with intense action the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
The Lost & Found Agency, a fascinating, interactive show for kids of all ages that follows a colorful team of specialists called upon to help a shepherd find his lost sheep, a young lady locate a valuable missing coin — and a lost young man find his way back home.
During nearly every program, guests were invited to receive Christ as Savior or to reach out in prayer for special needs, “and we can say with confidence that hundreds of our guests responded and were impacted during those special times,” said Mr. Everett. He added that several hundred more guests left written prayer requests tucked in the cracks at the park's recreation of the Jerusalem Wailing Wall, and others pinned request on the park's prayer cross. “It is the joy of our staff to gather each of these requests and pray over them,” said Mr. Everett, “and to send the Wailing Wall requests to our prayer partners in Jerusalem.”
At the end of their day Holy Land Experience guests took time to leave notes of thanks and testimonies of how they were impacted:
– “Thank you so much for having a Free Day! This is a wonderful place.”
– “I was deeply touched by the invitations for salvation and healing — and especially that people came to Christ and were healed! I was one of them.... Keep up the good deeds!”
– “Thanks for this great worship experience.... Thank you for showing us that ‘God’s not dead, He's still alive!’”
Mr. Everett noted that the park's staff is already gearing up for the beginning of Florida's spring break vacation season in the next several weeks, as individuals and families will travel to the Orlando area from around the nation and world. “Thousands of people look forward to visiting the Holy Land Experience every year,” he said. “And we always look forward to welcoming them to this oasis of God's presence right in the middle of America's favorite vacation spot.”
