TBN Mobile App Helping Send Christian Television Around the World

LOS ANGELES (February 11, 2013) — It's the age of the mobile app, and Trinity Broadcasting Family of Networks, the world's largest religious broadcaster, has a revolutionary smart phone application that is introducing the best in Christian television to new generations of viewers.

What started out forty years ago as a struggling California TV station airing a few hours of inspirational programming a night has grown to over twenty international networks broadcasting life-changing programming 24 hours a day on every inhabited continent. And through TBN's Mobile App, folks with iPhones, iPads, Androids, and other mobile devices can now access a dozen of TBN's most popular networks in real time, while also catching the best of TBN's archived movies, ministry programs, concerts, and more — on-demand, anytime and anywhere!

“We call it TBN Everywhere,” explained TBN Vice President Matthew Crouch, “and it means that we're committed to making sure our viewers — both in the U.S. and around the world — have instant access to the broad range of quality faith-and-family programming that has been TBN's hallmark since we signed on the air back in 1973.”

Mr. Crouch noted that there is a new generation of media consumer who don't spend as much time at home watching traditional TV. “But they still want to catch their favorite programs, watch movies and concerts, and enjoy the unique, life-changing impact of Christian television,” he said. “TBN's mobile app gives them access to the very best of TBN's live networks, along with the awesome power of our iTBNon-demand video portal wherever they are.”

In addition to TBN's flagship network, America's most-watched faith channel, the TBN mobile app gives users access to live channels like the JCTV youth network; the Smile of a Child kid's network; the Church Channel; Enlace and Enlace Juvenil for Hispanic viewers; Nejat and the Healing Channel for Iranian and Arabic viewers; TBN Africa; and three powerful TBN Russia channels.

And through its iTBN portal, the network app gives mobile users instant access to “all things TBN,” from recent and archived ministry programs, inspirational movies, documentaries, and educational programs, to popular shows for kids and teens, a wide variety of Christian concerts and music, and retro TBN favorites from the past forty years, like vintage Praise the Lord shows and The Billy Graham Classics.

TBN founder and President Dr. Paul Crouch noted that the network's mobile app represents the type of technological breakthroughs that have helped TBN maintain a cutting-edge relevance through four decades. “Back in the 1970s satellite technology moved TBN beyond a few thousand viewers in southern California to millions across America and eventually around the world,” he said. “Today online innovations like the smart phone app are drawing untold millions of new viewers throughout the earth to TBN's ever-growing family of life-changing networks.”

Added Dr. Crouch: “We are truly thankful for God's continued blessing that allows us to fulfill TBN's one and only mission — to use the medium of television to spread the good news of Jesus Christ to every corner of the earth.”
